In the case of the Hunt for Satoshi, you get some tokens that can be redeemed for the comic book when it is released and other Bits (COMICCOIN) that allow you to vote on the cover.

The founder of Hunt for Satoshi, Alex Preukschat, is also planning to link COMICCOIN to the future revenue of the Hunt for Satoshi. For instance, if the Hunt for Satoshi story is purchased in order to do a film, COMICCOIN holders could get a portion of the profit.

He is currently doing research on this and we wish him the best of luck. Don’t plan on it, but who knows, if you participate today you could get some cool future kickback.
